Deidra
This is our oldest daughter, Deidra. She is our IVF baby (7 eggs fertilized, we transplanted 3 embryos and only 1 took). She was born 5 weeks early due to my high blood pressure and gestational diabetes. She was worth all the 36 hours of labor and only making it to a 3...and a c-section. Mommy wound up in the ICU after she was born and Deidra wound up being transferred to another hospital the next day that was 45 minutes away because she needed a better hospital with a NICU to take care of her. That was one of the hardest things I've gone through on my Mommy journey. Thankfully, we were back together again about a week later and the weekend before Thanksgiving she was able to come home from the hospital.
She's a freshman in high school this year and is about to be 15 next week. She is very into musical theater and loves to sing. She has a natural talent for being on stage, although she was very shy as a little girl. She has a very good moral character and stands up for what she feels is right. She gets good grades and we couldn't be more proud of her.
